RONALD REUEL MEYER
 

Mr. Ronald R. Meyer, 66, of Peru, Indiana, formerly of Quincy, died Friday (December 6, 2002) in Peru, Indiana.

Born July 6, 1936 in Quincy, Ronald was the son of Reuel and Virginia Tieman Meyer. He married Marian Sheer in August of 1957 in Quincy. She survives.

Ronald was a member of Missouri Synod Lutheran Church in Peru, IN. He was a rabbit breeder and a member of the American Rabbit Breeder's Association. Mr. Meyer served his country in the U. S. Army.

While living in Quincy, Ronald and his wife owned and operated the Bel-Aire Motel and he was also employed by Electric Wheel a division of Firestone. Later he and his wife owned and operated a mobile home park in Goshen, IN.

Also surviving are two sons, Eric "Rick" Meyer of Indianapolis, IN., and Rockwell "Rocky" Meyer and his wife Lynn of Goshen IN.; five grandchildren, Damian, Hunter, Heather, Nathan, and Dylan; one brother, Norman Meyer and his wife Linda of Fowler; one sister, Carol Allison and her husband Bud of Quincy; and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Mr. Meyer was preceded in death by his parents; and one son, Randall Ronald Meyer.

Private family graveside services will be held in Graceland Cemetery by the Rev. Stephen Schuette.

Friends are invited and may call on the family Friday afternoon from 2:00 until 3:00 at Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made to the Loveway Therapeutic Horseback Riding Organization or the Indiana University Foundation for Cancer Research.
