EDWARD A. ROSE
 

Mr. Edward A. Rose, 66, of 1269 Park Place, died at 8:55 a.m. Saturday (September 13, 2003) in Blessing Hospital.

Born September 28, 1936 in Cave-In-Rock, Illinois, Ed was the son of Hayden A. and Geneva E. Edwards Rose. He married Mareta Hinthorne White on May 12, 2001 in Hamilton, Illinois. She survives.

Mr. Rose served his country in the U. S. Army from 1959 to 1962 as an information specialist. He was a member of Herman Masonic Lodge No. 39 and he enjoyed gardening.

Ed had been a teacher at Liberty High School and worked for Quincy Compressor, Colt Industries and at the Illinois Veteran Home. He was employed for many years at Titan Wheel until his retirement.

Survivors include his wife, Mareta; his mother, Geneva Rose of Cave-In-Rock, IL.; a daughter, Sarah Lynn Rose of Quincy; a step daughter, Diane Stambaugh and her husband Dave of Clark, MO.; six step sons, Michael White and his wife Jeanette and William White and his wife Pam all of Liberty, Kevin White and his wife Lynda and Gregory White and his wife Krista all of Quincy, Rev. Randy White and his wife Vickie of Hamilton and Danny Craig of Secor, IL.; several step grandchildren and step great grandchildren; and many Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.

Mr. Rose was preceded in death by his father; and a son, Mark Edward Rose.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning at 10:00 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home by Pastor Dennis Thomas. Burial with Military Honors by Liberty

V. F. W. Post 640 will be in Greenmount Cemetery.

Visitation will be Monday evening from 4:00 to 7:00 and Tuesday until the time of services at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the Edward Rose Memorial Fund.
