Mr. Robert E. Russell, 42, of 624 South 10th, died at 1:15 p.m. Sunday (May 4, 2003) in his home. Born April 5, 1961 in Quincy, Robert was the son of Robert H. and Sandra Blivens Russell. He married Sonya Schumm on May 3, 1993 in Quincy. She survives. Robert was a graduate of Quincy High School. He enjoyed playing football and fishing, but his greatest joy in life was his wife and children, whom he loved deeply. He was previously employed by the Quincy Clinic and for the last 10 years he was a baker for Dixie Cream Donuts in Quincy. Also surviving are four sons, Dustin Russell, Austin Russell and Jacob Schumm all of Quincy and Alex Whitehead of LaBelle, MO.; two daughters, Stephanie Russell of Quincy and Amanda Russell of Missouri; his mother and step father, Sandra and Stephen Boyd of Quincy; his father, Robert H. Russell of San Diego, CA.; two brothers, Gregory Russell and his wife Jennifer and Eric Boyd both of Quincy; a sister, Deborah Russell of Quincy; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Russell was preceded in death by his grandparents. Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 1:00 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home by the Rev. George Tomko. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday evening from 4:00 until 7:00 and Thursday until the time of services at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Robert E. Russell Memorial Fund. |
