Mr. Thomas E. Schneider, 73, of 2232 Payson Ave., died at 3:42 a.m. Monday (May 12, 2003) in St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. Born May 1, 1930 in Hannibal, Missouri, Thomas was the son of William J. and Odelia Settles Schneider. He married Dorothy Lennon on April 7, 1956 in Hannibal, Missouri. She survives. Mr. Schneider was a member of St. Peters Catholic Church. He was a graduate of Hannibal High School and the University of Missouri where he received his bachelor's degree. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus. Thomas was employed by Motorola for many years and later worked as the building manager for the Quincy Development Center. Also surviving are two sons, Thomas E. Schneider Jr. and his wife Andrea of Bettendorf, IA., and James V. Schneider and his wife Shelly of O'Fallon, MO.; three grandchildren, Christopher Schneider, Michael Schneider, and Samantha Schneider, all of O'Fallon, MO.; one brother, William J. Schneider and his wife Rosemary of Hannibal; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, E.V. Schneider. Graveside services will be held Thursday morning at 10:00 in Holy Family Cemetery in Hannibal, MO. A Prayer service will be held Thursday morning at 9:00 in Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Wednesday evening from 4:00 until 7:00 and Thursday morning until the time of services at the funeral home. A Christian Wake Service will be held Wednesday evening at 6:30. Memorials may be made to the Holy Family Cemetery. |
