WILBUR H. SCHNELLE
 
Mr. Wilbur H. Schnelle, 80, of 1422 North 17th, died at 4:35 p.m. Wednesday (January 3, 2001) at Blessing Hospital.

Born October 25, 1920 in Ursa Township, Mr. Schnelle was the son of William and Edith Warning Schnelle. He married Phyllis Tanner on November 25, 1941, in Palmyra, MO. She survives.

Mr. Schnelle was of the Lutheran faith and a member of the Operating Engineers Local 965. He owned and operated Schnelle Plumbing and Heating in Quincy for over ten years and then was a heavy equipment operator for various construction firms for several years until his retirement in 1995.

Also surviving are two sons, Wilbur Schnelle Jr. and his wife JoAnne of Jefferson, GA., and Larry Schnelle of Quincy; five grandchildren, Darrin Schnelle of Quincy, Dustin Schnelle and his wife Kim of Ursa, Kaley Creech of Plainville, Craig Schnelle of Johnson City, TN., and A.J. Schnelle of Jefferson, GA.; two great-grandchildren, Jarrett Schnelle and Ramee Schnelle, both of Ursa; one sister, Wilma Arrowsmith and her husband Robert of Fowler; and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Schnelle was preceded in death by his parents; one infant brother, William; and one sister, Irma Griffin.

Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2:00 at Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Baker officiating. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery.

Visitation will be Saturday afternoon from 12:30 until the time of services at 2:00 at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the Central Baptist Church.
