| Mr. Floyd W. Schroeder, 82, of the Good Samaritan Home, formerly of RR 2 North 24th, died at 1:30 a.m. Wednesday
(May 9, 2001) in Blessing Hospital. Born November 13, 1918 in Liberty Township, Adams County, IL., Floyd was the son of Louis and Ethel Fusselman Schrader. Floyd was employed as a machinist for Gardner-Denver Company for 35 years until his retirement. He was a member of the Machinist Lodge 822 and enjoyed playing the banjo and country western music. Surviving is a son, Gary Schroeder and his wife Jackie of Lake Tommahawk, WI.; a close friend, Geneva Aucutt of Quincy; and several nieces and nephews. Floyd was preceded in death by three brothers, Earl, Merle and his twin brother, Cloyd. Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 3:00 in Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home by the Rev. Tom Waters. Burial wil be in Greenmount Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday afternoon from 2:00 until the time of services at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice. |
