Mrs. Aline T. Scott, 77, of 505 North 30th, died at 11:32 a.m. Tuesday (April 20, 2004) in Blessing Hospital. Born November 8, 1926 in Eden, Alabama, Aline was the daughter of Christopher Columbus and Dovie Hollis Isabell Davis. She married Stanley G. Scott on March 3, 1946 in Palmyra, Missouri. He died April 9, 2003. Mrs. Scott was a salesperson at Roderick P. Miller before becoming the store manager at Betty Gay for many years until her retirement. She enjoyed cooking and homemaking. Survivors include two daughters, Ruthie Stickler of Quincy and Patsy Werneth and her husband Robert of Hernando, MS; four grandchildren, Stacy Stickler of Quincy, Jay Stickler of Crete, IL, Jami Spoonmore of Clayton, IL and Heather Fischer of Olive Branch, MS; and six great grandchildren. Mrs. Scott was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a sister; and three brothers. Funeral services will be held Friday morning at 11:00 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home by Gene Mann. Burial will be in Quincy Memorial Park. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 5:00 until 7:00 and Friday morning until the time of services at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice. |
