| Mr. Arlo E. Seiz, 66, of 1507 North Fifth Street, died at 6:47 a.m. Wednesday (January 17, 2001) at the Timber
Point Health Care Center in Camp Point, IL. Born March 26, 1934 in Bowen, IL., Mr. Seiz was the son of Emil and Edith Meyer Seiz. He married Roberta A. Ecklebarger on August 27, 1966 in Quincy. She died on June 3, 1988. Mr. Seiz was a member of the House of Prayer and enjoyed playing bingo and loved his grandchildren. He was employed at J. M. Huber in maintenance for more than 27 years until his retirement in 1989. Surviving is a daughter, Crystal Scott and her husband Terry of Quincy; a son, Damon Seiz and his wife Florence of Hannibal, MO.; six grandchildren, Jessica Smith, Aaron Seiz, Chase Seiz, Roberta Seiz, Nathaniel Seiz and Destiny Straube all of Quincy; two brothers, Aldo Seiz of Denver, IL. and Larry Seiz of Ft. Scott, KS.; three sisters, Caroline Suter of Memphis, TN., Emiline Welsh of Princeton and Leah Lorenson of East Moline. Mr. Seiz was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; one infant son, Aaron Seiz; and a brother, Carl Dean Seiz. Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 10:00 in Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home by the Rev. Joel Hulett. Burial will be in South Side Cemetery in Clayton. Visitation will be Friday evening from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. and Saturday until the time of services in the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Arlo Seiz Memorial Fund. |
