Mr. Keith M. Sherman, 84, of rural Plainville, died at 2:07 a.m. Wednesday (November 7, 2001) in Blessing Hospital.

Born February 2, 1917 in Haypress, IL., Keith was the son of Frank and Mary Sherman. He married Madelyn Rumple on June 20, 1942 in St. Charles, MO. She survives.

Mr. Sherman was a member of Columbus Road Baptist Church. He was very active in church work and was also a member of the Adams County Farm Bureau. He served his country in WWII in the Army. Keith farmed all his life in the Payson and Plainville area.

Also surviving are two daughters, Linda Rabe and her husband Alan and Martha Weese and her husband Douglas both of Payson; one son, Mark Sherman and his wife Roxanne of Mokena, IL.; eleven grandchildren, Steven Sherman and his wife Julie of Oxford, AL., Rebecca Heinlein and her husband Anton of Lafayette, GA., Kara Tabb and her husband Jason of Albany, GA., Douglas Rabe of Lagrangeville NY., Debra Rabe of Richmond, VA., Melissa Sherman and Jeremy Sherman, both of Mexico, MO., Kristi Shelton and her husband Brad, Jason Weese, Brandon Weese, and Angela Weese all of Payson; and one daughter in law, Judith Sherman of Cordele, GA.

He was preceded in death by one son, Keith Sherman; two brothers, George and Howard Sherman; and four sisters, Beulah Fines, Ethel Sherman, Helen Travis, and Mildred Linbarger.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday morning at 10:00 at the Columbus Road Baptist Church in Quincy by the Rev. John Adams and the Rev. S.D. Bodwell. Burial will be in Quincy Memorial Park.

Visitation will be Friday evening from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home in Quincy and Saturday morning from 9:00 until the time of services at the church.

Memorials may be made to the Columbus Road Baptist Church Parking Lot Fund.
