| Mrs. Mariya Skok, 78, of Blessing Long Term Care, formerly of 1015 1/2 Payson Ave., died at 5:10 a.m. Saturday
(February 2, 2002) in Blessing Long Term Care. Born June 24, 1923 in the Ukraine, Mariya was the daughter of Leo and Anastasia Lyashenko Skok. She married Vladimir Korymka in the Ukraine. He preceded her in death. Mariya was a member of the Orthodox Christian Church. She enjoyed gardening and growing flowers. Mariya was employed as an accountant at a collective farm in the Ukraine. She retired in 1978. Surviving is a son, Anatoliy Skok and his wife Nataliya of Quincy; and a grandson, Kirill Skok of New York, New York. Mrs. Skok was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and a sister, Evdocia Taran. Funeral services will be held Thursday morning at 11:00 in Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home by the Rev. Alexander Lyisenko. Cremation rites will be accorded Mrs. Skok following the funeral services. Visitation will be Thursday morning from 10:00 until the time of services at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Blessing Long Term Care. |
