 ALTA ST. CLAIR
Ms. Alta St. Clair, 72, of 819 April Ave. died at 9:10 a.m. Thursday (March 8, 2001) in Blessing Hospital.

Born April 12, 1928 in Quincy, Alta was the daughter of George and Iona Casley Yenter.

Ms. St. Clair loved her cats, reading, and taking trips to the riverboat casino with friends.

Alta was employed as a bartender for many area taverns, retiring in 1999 from Twin Oaks.

Surviving is her longtime friend and mate, Ed Hendricks; a son, George Cantrell and his wife Pam of Clayton; two grandchildren, David Cantrell and his wife Amanda of Quincy, and Geordan Cantrell of Clayton; two great grandchildren, Machaela and Anthony Cantrell of Quincy; a brother, Beauford Yenter of Jacksonville, FL.; two sisters, Juanita Wingerter and her husband Joseph of Quincy, and Edith Cantrell and her husband Raymond of Mendon; and several nieces and nephews.
Ms. St. Clair was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 1:30 in Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home by the Rev. Terry Cain. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery.
Visitation will be Monday from 12:00 Noon until the time of services at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the Quincy Humane Society.
