| Mrs. Vera Tallcott, 79, of Sunset Home, formerly of RR 2 Quincy, died at 5:20 p.m. Wenesday (May 23, 2001) in Sunset
Home. Born October 28, 1921 in Quincy, Vera was the daughter of Emil and Selma Schnelle Cramm. She married Charles I. Tallcott Jr. on June 9, 1945 in Quincy. He died in 1977. Vera was a graduate of Quincy High School and was a member of Salem Evangelical United Church of Christ where she was active with the Salem Choirsters and the Evening Guild. She loved music and was a member of the Volunteer Voices. Mrs. Tallcott farmed in Ellington Township all her life and drove a school bus for Quincy Public Schools for many years, retiring in 1982. Surviving is a son, James Tallcott and his wife Stacy of Quincy; two grandchildren, Shawn Tallcott and his wife Melissa of Quincy, and Kerry Sue Spencer and her husband Chad of Bloomington, IL.; two great grandchildren, Blaine Spencer of Bloomington, IL., and Phillip Tallcott of Quincy; one sister, Wilma Dunham of Quincy; and one nephew, Dean Dunham of Quincy. Vera was preceded in death by her parents; and one nephew, Bob Dunham. Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 10:00 in Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home by the Rev. Stephen Schuette. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday evening from 4:00 until 7:00 and Saturday morning until the time of services in the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Blessing Foundation for Hospice or Sunset Home. |
