Mr. Robert E. Tofall, 76 , of 2626 South 12th, Quincy, died at 5:01 p.m. Friday (January 11, 2002) in Blessing Hospital.

Born August 4, 1925 in St. Louis, Missouri, Mr. Tofall was the son of Albert and Bertha Rineberg Tofall. He married Norma Jean Gross on October 2, 1948 in Luther Memorial Church in Quincy. She survives.

Bob was a charter member of Christ Lutheran Church and had served on the church council and many committees over the years, and was a member of the Quincy Traffic Club. He served his country in the U. S. Army with the occupation forces in 1946 and 1947.

Bob was employed for many years in the Traffic Department at Electric Wheel and he later became the Traffic Manager for Litteral Manufacturing and Speedrack from 1960 until his retirement in 1987. Following his retirement, he worked part time in sales for Sharkey Transportation.

Also surviving are two sons, Mark Tofall and his wife Debbie of Quincy and Kevin Tofall and his wife Kathy of St. Louis, MO.; five grandchildren, Heather Nuttelman and her husband Nathan of Quincy, Holly Summers and her husband Jake of Wentzville, MO., Tara Tofall and Amanda Tofall both of Chicago, and Caleb Tofall of St. Louis; and two great grandsons, Nolan Nuttelman of Quincy and Joshua Summers of Wentzville.

Mr. Tofall was preceded in death by his parents and brothers and sisters.

Memorial services will be held Monday morning at 11:00 in Christ Lutheran Church by the Rev. Paul Schwartzkopf. Private interment will be in Greenmount Cemetery.

Visitation will be Monday morning from 10:00 until the time of services at Christ Lutheran Church.

Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
