Mr. Kevin W. Torrens, 41, of
2115 Sunny Brook Drive East, died at 8:15
p.m. Saturday (August 28, 2004) in his home.
Born February 15, 1963 in Quincy, Kevin was the son of Kenneth and
Betty Wheelan Torrens.
Kevin was a member of Union United Methodist Church. He enjoyed doing
crossword puzzles and was an avid movie fan.
A 1981 graduate of Quincy High School, Kevin was also a graduate of
John Wood Community College and Vatterott College. He was currently employed
as a refinisher for Huck Fixtures in Quincy.
Survivors include his parents of Quincy; a sister, Karen Brockway and
her husband Andy of Lafayette, CO.; a niece, Karson Brockway of Lafayette,
CO.; two uncles, Bill Wheelan and his wife Delina of Barry, IL. and Jack
Torrens and his wife Dorothy of Kansas City, MO.; three aunts, Annabel
Johnston of Quincy, Eileen Hoyt and her husband William of Barry, IL.
and
Barbara Torrens of San Diego, CA.; 15 cousins, Mike Wheelan, Pat Wheelan
and
his wife Marla, Becky Longman and her husband Dave, Danny Wheelan and
his
wife Julie, Christi Mork and her husband Tim, Eric Wheelan and his wife
Nancy, Lisa Wheelan, James Bruce Johnston and his wife Rachael, Mike Hoyt
and his wife Janet, Connie Rupp and her husband Grant, Tom Hoyt and his
wife
Terry, Kathy Weaver and her husband Bob, Debbie Fields and her husband
J.
R., Linda England and her husband Doug and Ramona Hendrickson; and many
second cousins.
Kevin was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents;
three uncles, Joseph Johnston, Robert Neal Torrens and Ralph Wheelan;
an
aunt, Jenny Wheelan; and a cousin, Larry Wheelan.
Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 1:30 in the
Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home by the Rev. Robert Morwell.
Burial will be in Parklawn Cemetery in Barry.
Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 4:00 to 7:00 and Thursday
until the time of services at the funeral home.
