RUBY UNGLESBEE
 

Mrs. Ruby Unglesbee, 91, of 1445 Hampshire, died at 11:57 a.m. Friday (February 13, 2004) in Blessing Hospital.

Born August 28, 1912 in Vandalia, IL., Ruby was the daughter of George and Bertha Berblinger Links. She married Howard Unglesbee in 1943 in Palmyra. He died in 1951.

Ruby enjoyed playing bingo.

She was employed as a cook at the Quincy University Friary for over 30 years retiring in 1993.

Surviving are four daughters, Barbara Owens, Bertha Davis, Mary Wickell and her husband Robert, and Betty Lynch and her husband Arthur all of Quincy; three sons, Roger Unglesbee and his wife Dori, Roy Unglesbee, and Kenneth Unglesbee and his wife Melba Jean all of Quincy; fifteen grandchildren, Harold Owens and Steven Owens and his wife Pat, both of Liberty, Christine Orris and her husband Jim, Ruby Ann Brozksieck, Kenneth Unglesbee, and Luke Unglesbee, all of Quincy, Dawn Gibbons of Carbondale, Jennifer Lynch of Quincy, Mike Unglesbee of Arlington, TX., David W. Wickell of Quincy, Gordon Tuter, Brenda Tuter, Shelly Tuter, Susie Tuter, and Kim Tuter, all of Quincy; several great grandchildren; several great great grandchildren; and one half sister, Florence Tuttle of Quincy.

She was preceded in death by her husband; one son, Louis Tuter; and two grandchildren, William Owens and Gloria Ann Unglesbee.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning at 11:00 at the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home by Rev. George Tomko. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Tuesday morning from 9:30 until the time of services at the funeral home.
