| Mrs. Ruth Margaret Van Natta, 87, of 1400 North 12th, died at 8:07 p.m. Wednesday (June 27, 2001) in her home.
Born September 22, 1913 in Quincy, Ruth was the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Louis Fleer. She married Carl W. Van Natta on May 13, 1934 in Quincy. He died June 14, 1977. Ruth was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ and a former member of the Women's Guild. She enjoyed watching television. Ruth was employed for many years as a Nurses Aid at St. Joseph Nursing Home, St. Mary Hospital and later for Sunset Home. She retired in 1984. Surviving is a daughter, Donna McClelland of Quincy; four grandchildren, Dena McClelland and Randy McClelland both of Quincy, Linda Becker and her husband Wayne of Blue Springs, MO. and Doug Braungardt and his wife Lori of Jacksonville, FL.; five great grandchildren including Stephanie McClelland and her fiance' Adam Fenton and Shelby McClelland both of Quincy; a great great grandson Gaige Fenton of Quincy; two sisters, Virginia Davis of Quincy and Edith Bumb of St. Louis, MO.; and several nieces and nephews. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a daughter, Shirley Genenbacher; one brother; and three sisters. Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 11:00 in Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home by the Rev. Timothy White. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday morning from 9:00 until the time of services at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Trinity Church. |
