VESTA VANNATTA
 

Mrs. Vesta Vannatta, 94, of Carmel, IN., formerly of 3636 Lindell, died
Friday (August 13, 2004) at Summer Trace Manor Nursing Home in Carmel, IN.

Born May 14, 1910 in Kellerville, IL., Vesta was the daughter of Emory
and Daisy Padgett Peacock. She married Theodore "Ted" Vannatta on October
17, 1935 in St. Louis, MO. He died April 2, 1995.

Vesta was a member of the First Christian Church in Quincy and
attended the East 91st Street Christian Chruch in Indianapolis, IN. She was
a member of the Quincy City Club and enjoyed playing bridge.

Mrs. Vannatta was employed in retail sales in Quincy and in Vincennes,
IN. and in later years was a homemaker.

Surviving are two daughters, Marlene Christoffersen and her husband
John of Carmel, IN. and Nancy Taylor of San Antonio, TX.; one son, Dave
Vannatta and his wife Joyce of Carmel, IN.; seven grandchildren, Lisa McKee
and her husband Randy, Robyn Antony and her husband Greg and Ryan Vannatta,
all of Carmel, IN., Mark Christoffersen and his wife Amy of Westfield, IN.,
Angie Christoffersen of Irving, TX., Tracy Christie and her husband Rick of
Houston, TX., and Kimberly Craig and her husband Martin of Woodland, TX.;
fourteen great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three brothers,
Duard, Virgil and Wayne Peacock; and two sisters, Fernell Norton and Barbara
Paxton.

Funeral services will be held Monday morning at 11:00 at the East 91st
Street Christian Church in Indianapolis, IN. Graveside services will be held
Wednesday morning at 10:30 at Quincy Memorial Park by the Rev. Bill Brown.

Visitation will be held Wednesday morning from 9:30 until 10:15 at the
Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
