Mrs. Norine E. Vincent, 82, of 636 State Street, died at 12:45 a.m. Tuesday (April 29, 2003) in Blessing Hospital. Born October 16, 1920 in Clearmont, Missouri, Norine was the daughter of Charles and Mabel Mann Damon. She married John Vincent on August 17, 1966 in Quincy. He died August 20, 1972. Norine was a member of the First Christian Church and a former member of the L.P.N.' s Association of Illinois. She was employed as an L. P. N. for St. Mary Hospital for 22 years, retiring in 1982. Surviving is a son, Clinton Leckbee of Maywood, MO.; two daughters, Elnora Stover and her husband Lawrence and Sandra Ahern and her husband Matthew both of Tampa, FL.; five grandchildren including Paul Leckbee and Donald Leckbee both of Quincy; several great grandchildren; a brother, Frank Damon of Longlett, CO.; two sisters, Margaret Huls of Clearmont, MO and Doris Sisk of Colorado Springs, CO.; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Vincent was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, Donald D. Leckbee; and a sister, Helen Damon. Graveside services will be held Thursday morning at 10:30 in Greenmount Cemetery by the Rev. Joby Brown. Visitation will be held Thursday morning from 9:00 until 10:15 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice. |
