Linda Jo Wakefield, 32, of Canton, MO., died at 8:20 p.m. Sunday (August 17, 2003) in Truman Medical Center in Kansas City, MO. Born September 19, 1970, in Quincy, Linda was the daughter of Richard Wakefield and Barbara Rees Kendrick. Linda was a graduate of Quincy Senior High School. She was a caring and devoted mother to her children and enjoyed spending time with her friends and especially loved her dog Daisy. Linda was employed as a realtor for the Davis - Frese Real Estate Agency and later worked at Super Tela-Com until its closing. Surviving is her father, Richard Wakefield of Quincy; her mother, Barbara Kendrick of Canton, MO.; one daughter, Megan Wakefield and one son, Dustin "Dusty" Wakefield, both of Canton, MO.; two sisters, Cindy Griggs and her husband Mike of LaGrange, MO., and Jackie Guthrie of Quincy; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her paternal and maternal grandparents. Funeral services will be held Thursday morning at 11:00 in Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home by Rev. George Tomko. Burial will be in Mendon Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday morning from 9:30 until the time of services at the funeral home. Memorial may be made to the children's education fund. |
