Daniel J. Williams, 29, of Quincy, passed away Sunday (July 27, 2003) at 7:04 a.m. in North Adams Home in Mendon. Born March 10, 1974 in Quincy, Daniel was the son of Lemuel Williams and Marsha Poyser Bridgman. Daniel was member of Central Baptist Church. He graduated form Quincy Senior High School in 1992 and attended John Wood Community College. He was a Certified Nurses Assistant and was employed as the Assistant Manager at Pizza Hut for several years retiring from work in the Spring of this year due to ill health. He served his country in the Army as a Paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne from 1992-1996. Surviving are his father and step mother, Lemuel and Carol Williams of Quincy, his mother and step father, Marsha and Ron Bridgman of LaGrange, MO.; three sisters, Tina Stock and her husband Alan of Quincy, Holly Williams of Burlingame, CA., and Amy Williams of Quincy; one step sister, Denise Bridgman of Peoria; four step brothers, Brent Watkins and his wife Amy of Bolivar, MO., Steve Bridgman of Quincy, Dave Bridgman and his wife Nanette and Vernon Bridgman, all of Jacksonville, FL.; one nephew, Andrew Stock of Quincy; several aunts, uncles, cousins; and many good friends. Daniel was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Loraine and Doris Williams; maternal grandparents, Chester and Imadell Poyser; and step paternal and maternal grandparents. Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at 10:30 a.m. in Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home by Dr. Charles Baker and Brent Watkins. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery. Quincy American Legion Post #37 will conduct Military services at the graveside. Visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 4:00 until 7:00 at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to North Adams Home or Blessing Hospice. |
