Mrs. Doris D. Williams, 76, of Plainville, died at 12:15 p.m. Monday (October 28, 2002) in the Pittsfield Health Center.

Born October 26, 1926 in Pike County near Griggsville, Doris was the daughter of Paul K. and Geneva Bickerdike Klinefelter. She married Loraine Williams on June 26, 1946 in Griggsville. He died November 24, 1990.

Doris was a member of the First Baptist Church in Plainville. She volunteered for Meals on Wheels and served on the Plainville Town Board and as an Election Judge in Adams County for many years. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting and gardening.

Doris was a devoted mother and helped her husband on their farm in Pike County until 1980.

Surviving are two sons, Terry Williams and his wife Pam of Hull and Lemuel Williams and his wife Carol of Quincy; five grandchildren, Tina Stock and her husband Alan, Amy Williams and Daniel Williams all of Quincy, Holly Williams of Burlingame, CA. and T. J. Williams of Fayetteville, AR.; a step grandson, Brent Watkins and his wife Amy of Bolivar, MO.; a great grandson, Andrew Stock of Quincy; two brothers, William Hubert Klinefelter and Paul "Buster" Klinefelter Jr. and his wife Bernice all of Pittsfield; and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a twin brother, Deal Klinefelter; and a sister, Pauline Ratto.

Funeral services will be held Thursday morning at 10:30 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home in Payson by the Rev. Larry Stewart. Burial will be in the West Cemetery in Pittsfield.

Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 4:00 to 7:00 and Thursday until the time of services at the funeral home in Payson.

Memorials may be made to the Pike County Hospice.
