AGNES M. ZALEWSKI
Agnes "Aggie" Mary Zalewski, 66, of Quincy, lost her battle with cancer at 6:05 a.m. Friday (December 9, 2016) in the Sycamore Healthcare Center.
Born February 8, 1950, in Chicago, Aggie was the daughter of Leo and Veronica Czyl Zalewski.
Aggie attended Queen of Peace High School in Oak Lawn, Illinois, and Dominican College in Racine, Wisconsin. She lived around the country but found her forever home in Quincy in 2004. Aggie loved to laugh, enjoyed playing bingo and "quarter madness" and loved being around people. She was very artistic and talented in many areas and will be missed by many.
Aggie had been employed as an Administrative Assistant at the Hopewell Clinic in Quincy for several years, until her retirement in 2014.
Aggie is survived by her sister, Gloria Ciametti (Vince) of Nixa, MO, and many cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and her nephew, Timmy Ciametti.
Cremation rites have been accorded to Aggie.
A Celebration of Aggie's Life will be held Saturday afternoon (December 17, 2016) at 2:00 at The Quincy Serenity Club, 901 South 8th Street, Quincy.
Memorials may be made to the Agnes Zalewski Memorial Fund.
