Allen Tournear, 72, of Quincy died at 2:33 p.m. Friday (April 22, 2016) in his home.
Born June 29, 1943 in Quincy, Allen was the son of Ralph and Zelma Buskirk Tournear.
Al enjoyed playing his guitar and playing cards. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals Baseball Fan, a former Blue Devil Basketball Player and loved his dogs.
He had been employed by the Howard Diesel Service Co. in Port Arthur, TX for over 35 years as a heavy diesel mechanic and shop foreman.
Survivors include two daughters, Wendy Buckley (Rod) of Quincy and Kim Hensley (Rick) of Weir, KS; four grandchildren Mindy Buck and Danielle Scrivner (Dustin) both of Kansas, Amanda Klingele (Bryan) and Dalton Buckley both of Quincy; four great grandchildren Raegan Buck, Colton, Dalilah, and Gage Scrivner all of Kansas. Also surviving are two sisters Mildred Pelas of Louisiana and Norma Motes of Texas and a special friend Donna Taute of Quincy.
Mr. Tournear was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers Clifford Tournear and Roy Tournear; two sisters Helen Tournear and Dorothy Wells.
Graveside services will be held Monday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. in Greenmount Cemetery with Pastor Steve Disseler officiating.
There is no visitation but friends are invited to attend the graveside services.
Memorials may be made to the Quincy Humane Society.
