ANDRE "JOE" ANDERSON
Andre "Joe" Anderson, 78, of Quincy died at 2:35 p.m. Thursday (July 11, 2013) in his home.
Born April 26, 1935 in Upshire County, WV, Joe was the son of Marvin B. and Ruby Malcomb Anderson. He first married Juanita J. Parn on February 7, 1952 in Quincy. She preceded him in death on April 14, 2005. He then married Janet Wollbrink on August 5, 2006 in Quincy. She survives.
Joe was an active member of Madison Park Christian Church and graduated from Roosevelt Wilson High School in Clarksburg, WV. He enjoyed doing woodworking and was an active supporter and served on the board of the Lamoine Christian Camp.
Joe owned and operated Anderson's Mobile Service Station in Quincy for over 25 years. He then became employed as a sales representive and driver for Prairie Farms Dairy for 23 years until his retirement in 2000.
Survivors include; his wife, Janet; three sons, Terry J. Anderson (Arlene), Tim N. Anderson (Terry) both of Quincy and James C. Voth (Danielle) of LaGrange, MO; one daughter, Ellie M. Voth of Jacksonville, IL; a daughter in-law, Julie Anderson of Quincy; eleven grandchildren, Christy Tucker of Pelham, AL, Cody Anderson of Quincy, Shelby Anderson of St. Louis, MO, Mitchell Anderson and Logan Anderson both of Des Moines, IA, Gabe Briscoe (Quinn Baker) of Quincy, Erica Briscoe of St. Louis, MO, Lauren Anderson of Columbia, MO, Cole Anderson of Quincy, Brandon Benjamin and Tyson Voth both of LaGrange, MO; three great grandchildren, Donovan Briscoe, Evan Briscoe and Tyler Tucker. Also surviving are five brothers, Robert Anderson (Becky), of Roy, WA, Gene Anderson (Jeanne) of Shrewsbury, MO, Austin "Bud" Anderson of Maplewood, MO, Gary Anderson (Cathy) of Roy, WA and Eddie Anderson (Frances) of Wellsburg, WV; two sisters, Cora Sue Beer of Virginia Beach, VA and Saundra Carlson of Palm Coast, FL.
Mr. Anderson was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Stan Anderson.
Funeral services will be held Monday morning at 10:30 a.m. in Madison Park Christian Church with Pastor Chuck Sackett officiating. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery.
Visitaiton will be held Monday morning from 9:00 until the time of services at the church.
Memorials may be made to the Lamoine Christian Camp or to Madison Park Christian Church.
