Arduth Lynn Sapp, 66, of Quincy, passed away at 11:50 am Friday (May 4, 2018) in Blessing Hospital.
Born February 19, 1952 in Grand Island, Nebraska, Arduth was the daughter of Gerald L. and Betty J. Lewis Staten. She was married to Dave Sapp and to that union a daughter, Angela was born.
Arduth was a 1970 graduate of Quincy High School. She enjoyed bowling, flower arranging and being out on the river. She loved being with her family and friends and especially loved the trips she and Angie took over the years.
Arduth worked as a bartender for several establishments in Quincy. In 1992 she purchased the Scoreboard which became Artie's Scoreboard, which she operated until 2002. She later was employed at County Market at 9th & Jefferson where she was the floral manager and most recently was employed at Comcast until her health forced her retirement.
Survivors include her daughter, Angela Sapp-Steffen (Kurt) of Quincy; two step grandchildren, Taylor Steffen and Cassy Steffen both of Quincy; her sister, Sharolyn "Shari" Stemsrud (Randy) of Indianola, IA; a brother, Clark Staten (Elizabeth) of Chicago, IL; many loving nieces and nephews; and her beloved granddog, "Mojo".
Arduth was preceded in death by her parents.
Cremation arrangements are in the care of the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home.
The family will host a Celebration of Life for Arduth on Saturday, May 26, 2018 beginning at 12:00 Noon at The Dock, 1021 Bonansinga Drive in Quincy.
