ARLENE  FESLER

   Arlene Fesler, 96, of Quincy, formerly of Plainville, Illinois, died at 3:15 p.m. Wednesday (April 6, 2016) in Sunset Home in Quincy.

   Born September 13, 1919 in Ellington Township, Illinois, Arlene was the daughter of  Albert and Ida Mae Frazier Wisman.  She married Ellis Fesler on November 26, 1938 in  Palmyra, Missouri.  He preceded her in death on March 8, 2005.

   Arlene was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Plainville. She enjoyed traveling, and especially enjoyed her trips to Europe, South America and Asia.  Arlene was devoted to her family and loved the time she spent with them.

   Arlene helped her husband on the family farm for many years.
  
   Survivors include  a daughter, Deanna Speckhart (Kent) of Palmyra, MO; a son, Gary Fesler (Cathy) of Hull, IL; four grandchildren, Scott Speckhart  (Orlinda) of Auburn, IL, Sara Stone (Craig) of Quincy, Brett Fesler of Hull, IL and Kelsi Neese (Jeff) of Kinderhook, IL;  four great grandchildren, Geoffrey Speckhart, Nathan Speckhart, Allea Stone and Noah DeWeese; and many loving nieces and nephews.

   Arlene was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ellis; two brothers, Glen Wisman (Millie) and a brother in infancy; a sister, Lois Althiser (Everett), and two brothers in law, Elden Fesler (J. Ellen) and Kendrick Fesler (Betty).

   The family would like to thank the staff at Sunset Home for the excellent care they provided to Arlene during her stay.

   Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 11:00 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home in Quincy with the Rev. Robert Kean officiating.  Burial will be in Stewart Cemetery in Plainville, Illinois.  Following the committal service at the cemetery, family and friends are invited to a luncheon at the First Baptist Church in Plainville.

   Visitaiton will be held Saturday morning from 9:00 until the time of services at the funeral home.

   Memorials may be made to the Payson Seymour Education Foundation.
