ARLENE SECKMAN LILLEY
Arlene Seckman Lilley, 90, of Quincy, passed away at 10:10 p.m. Thursday (November 15, 2018) at Sunset Home in Quincy.
Born March 6, 1928 in Quincy, Arlene was the daughter of Clyde Herbert and Charlotte Kampe Seiz. She was married to John Seckman who preceded her in death on November 29, 1985. She was married to Forrest Lilley who preceded her in death on November 2, 2017.
Arlene was a member of Melrose Chapel United Methodist Church. She was devoted to her family and cherished the time she shared with them.
A 1946 graduate of Quincy High School and a graduate of Gem City Business College, Arlene was employed as a secretary for the Quincy Public School District at Monroe School for many years. She later was employed as one of the first office secretaries at John Wood Community College until her retirement.
Survivors include her son, David Seckman and his wife, Rebecca of Washington, DC; her daughter in law, Chris Seckman of St. Louis, MO; three grandchildren, Christopher Seckman, Jason Seckman and his wife, Elizabeth and Dan Seckman; two great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Arlene was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, John Seckman and Forrest Lilley; a son, J. Kent Seckman; two brothers, Kenneth R. Seiz and his wife, Letha and Clyde Seiz Jr. and his wife, Margaret.
Graveside services will be held Monday afternoon at 1:00 in Greenmount Cemetery with Pastor Steve Disseler officiating.
There is no visitation, but friends are invited to attend the graveside service. Arrangements are in the care of the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
