Elizabeth Ann "Pinky" Wright, 93, of Quincy died at 11:20 am Sunday (September 17, 2017) in her home.
Born April 16, 1924 in Quincy Betty was the daughter of Herman and Sue Bringaze Pinkelman. She married Richard E. Wright. He preceded her in death in October 1985.
Betty was a lifelong member of St. Francis Solanus Church and the Ladies of St. Francis. She loved to play Bridge and do puzzles. Betty dedicated her life to help and serve others by volunteering for the Red Cross, Adams County Health Department, St. Vincent's Home, Good Samaritan Home, Quincy Hospitality House and RSVP where she received an award for the most hours volunteering in 2014.
Betty was employed as a lab technician at St. Mary Hospital and the Quincy Clinic for several years until her retirement.
Survivors include two daughters, Martha Loos of Quincy, Sarah Wright of Higbee, MO; one grandchild Emily Ann Loos of Quincy; three great grandchildren Aubrey Loos, Adelyn Loos and Tatum Lerum; several loving cousins, nieces, nephews and a special niece Terri Uppinghouse and a special friend Hazel Mills.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother Herman Pinkelman and a sister Arlene Fiechtl.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday morning at 10:00 a.m. in St. Francis Church with Rev. Donald Blaeser O.F.M. officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Friday morning from 9:30 until 10:00 in St. Francis Solanus Church.
Memorials may be made to St. Francis Solanus Church or to St. Louis Childrens Hospital.
