Jean Perry, 89, of Quincy, died at 10:00 a.m. Thursday (May 11, 2017) in Blessing Hospital.
Born March 6, 1928 in Quincy, Jean was the daughter of Edward and Grace Etta Clair Huston. She married James D. Perry on February 16, 1948 in Quincy. He preceded her in death on June 10, 2015.
Jean was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church. She enjoyed solving crossword puzzles, Friday night league bowling, and took great pride in keeping her home neat and clean.
Jean was employed at Quincy Speaker for 20 years then at Motorola and lastly for McGlaughlin Auto until her retirement when they closed.
Survivors includeher brother, Edward Huston of Quincy; many loving nieces and nephews; a step daughter, Edith Louise Buchanan (Connor) of Kansas City, MO; and two step grandchildren, Finnegan Scott Buchanan and William Connor "Liam" Buchanan.
Jean was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James D. Perry; her sister, Edna Mae Thompson (Walter); and her sister in law, Patricia Huston.
Graveside services will be held Monday morning at 11:00 in Greenmount Cemetery with Pastor Martin Eden officiating.
There is no visitatiion, but friends are invited to attend the graveside service.
