Blondeana Forbes, 69, of Quincy, died at 10:40 a.m. Monday (October 24, 2016) surrounded by her family.
Born October 14, 1947, in Des Moines, Iowa, Blondeana was the daughter of Robert R. and Ethel D. Davis Reason. She married Robert Forbes on July 29, 1968, in Greely, Colorado. He preceded her in death on August 19, 2014.
Blondeana enjoyed cooking, going to the boat, writing poetry, doing crossword puzzles, crocheting and embroidery. Her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Survivors include a daughter, Katherine "Kathy" Tournear (Brent) of Quincy; a son, Robert Reason (Amanda) of Quincy; three grandchildren, Jacob, Jessica and Donald Tournear, all of Quincy; one great grandchild, Kylie Tournear of Auburn, IL; two brothers, Rudy Reason and Steve Reason, both of Greely, CO; and many loving nieces, nephews and friends.
Mrs. Forbes was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert; and one brother, Allen Reason.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 Monday morning in Sunset Cemetery at the Illinois Veteran's Home with Lee Lindsay Curtis officiating.
Cremation Rites have been accorded to Blondeana. Visitation will be held Monday morning from 9:00 to 9:45 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home.
