BRADLEY W. BORUFF
Bradley W. Boruff, 28, (1 day shy of his 29th birthday) of Plainville, IL formerly of Toledo, IL went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on March 31, 2012 in his home surrounded by his devoted wife, mother-in-law and friends.
Brad was born in Mattoon, IL on April 1, 1983, the son of Wayne "Red" and Joan (Wells) Boruff.
Brad graduated from Cumberland County High School in 2001. He received his associate degree from Lake Land College in Mattoon and then transferred to Eastern Illinois University and earned his bachelors degree in Business Management in 2005.
In high school Brad played football. He was a lineman and his number was 75. He was an avid Green Bay Packer Fan. Growing up Brad enjoyed fishing, hunting with his dad, riding four-wheelers, taking his Jeep out on the trails and playing video games. He was also a gifted photographer. He loved a challenge and loved learning new things teaching himself to play the bass guitar. He had the patience of Job and enjoyed explaining things in great detail. Brad and Lindsey were blessed to have taken several trip to many states and have countless memories and photographs. Brad enjoyed reading his Bible, going to contemporary Christian concerts, listening to praise music and spending time with his family and friends. Brad was truly a man after God's own heart. He was tender, humble, courageous, honest, hard working, brave, polite, sensitive, creative and very loving.
Most recently Brad worked for Dolbeare Construction Company and also did custom wood work. He and has grandfather-in-law David Sprague had completely remodeled Brad and Lindsey's current home.
Brad married the love of his life Lindsey Latimer in the First Baptist Church of Mattoon, IL on July 16, 2005. He is survived by his loving and adoring wife Lindsey; his brother Matthew Boruff of Greenup, IL; his maternal grandmother Norma Wells of Greenup, IL; paternal grandfather Jesse Boruff of Toledo, IL, his father and mother-in-law Ron & Cathy Latimer of Hull, IL; his sister-in-law Lynnette Latimer of Payson, IL; maternal grandparents-in-law David and Patricia Sprague of Plainville, IL; one uncle Tim Wells and Paula of Salem, IN; three aunts Trisha Stephens of Salida, CO, Cyndi Green and Travis of Greenup, IL and Janet Cowger of Toledo, IL. Also surviving are many cousins, friends and family who will forever love and miss Brad.
Brad was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Jessica Boruff, maternal grandfather Howard "Arkie" Wells and paternal grandmother Nita Boruff.
Our heart felt thanks to Cathy Latimer, Brad's mother-in-law, for taking such loving tender care of our Brad. The family would also like to thank JoLeah Epley, Vicki Epperson and Robin Johnson for also helping with Brad's care. There were many special members of our team, but we would like to acknowledge the supreme care of Dr. Raymond Smith and Dr. Douglas Sullivant of Quincy and Dr. Eric Leuthardt of Barnes Hospital in St. Louis. Also a big thanks to the many nurses and hospital staff involved in Brad's care.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. in Madison Park Christian Church with Mike Johnson and Andreas Mannhardt officiating. Burial will be in Stewart Cemetery near Plainville, IL.
Visitation will be held Monday evening from 4:00 until 8:00 at Madison Park Christian Church and Tuesday from 11:30 until the time of services.
