BRANDON K. BENJAMIN
Brandon Kenneth Benjamin, 16, of LaGrange, Missouri, passed away at 6:25 p.m. Sunday (June 24, 2018) in his home.
Born May 11, 2002 in Quincy, Brandon was the son of John Benjamin and Danielle (McCune) Voth.
Brandon was a member of The Crossing 929 where he taught Sunday School. An outstanding student, Brandon had just completed his Sophomore year at Highland High School with a 3.9 Grade Point Average and had been selected for membership in the National Honor Society.
Brandon was a sports enthusiast and basketball was his passion. He was a guard for the Highland High School Junior Varsity team and loved going to basketball camps and shootouts. He enjoyed fantasy football and was a fan of the Kansas Jayhawks, Detroit Lions and New York Knicks.
Survivors include his mother and step father, James and Danielle Voth of LaGrange, MO; his father, John Benjamin of Quincy; two brothers, Tyson Voth of LaGrange, MO and Derek Eger of Quincy; his sister, Dalyn McCune of Quincy; Maternal grandparents, Susan Arrowsmith of Quincy, David McCune of Quincy, Janet and Chuck Bent of Liberty, IL and Dennis and Bev Voth of Arkansas City, KS; Paternal grandparents, Stephen and Elyria Crowe of Quincy; Maternal Great Grandparents, Meb and Judith Wollbrink of Quincy; six Aunts, Sheila Thomas of Quincy, Stephanie Poole of Springfield, OH, Sarah Jackson (Jared) of Aurora, MO, Danya Cunningham (Tony) of Quincy, Kristen Stocker (Brian) of Springfield, IL and Ellie Voth of Jacksonville, IL; five Uncles, Shawn McCune (Melissa) of Houston, TX, Dustin McCune of Quincy, Stephen McCune of Quincy, Landon Dreyer (Nicole) of Quincy and Justin Killebrew of Washington; and many loving cousins.
Brandon was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Kenneth Arrowsmith.
Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 10:30 at the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home with Pastor John Mitchell officiatinig. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery.
Visitation will be Friday evening from 4:00 to 7:00 Saturday morning from 9:30 until the time of services at the funeral home.
