   Creighton N. Weldon IV, 42, of Quincy, passed away Monday (July 20, 2015) at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois.

   Born August 9, 1972, in Bronx, New York, Creighton was the son of Creighton and Janice Chambers Weldon III.  He had been married to and was still very close with special friend, Shelly Jackson Weldon.

   Creighton was a member of the Bethel A.M.E. Church in Quincy.  He enjoyed boxing, basketball, and watching movies.  Creighton held a passion for politics and was a stubborn debator. He was a devoted family man and cherished the time he spent with his family.

   Creighton was employed at RBI as a rack builder, until health concerns forced him to retire.

   Survivors include his parents, Creighton and Janice Weldon III; three sisters, Antoinette Bernard (Terrance), Monica Yates (Brian) and Denise Lewis (Patrick) all of Quincy; ten nieces and nephews, Turquoia Wyatt (Duan) of St. Louis, MO, Jeffery Young of Quincy, Julius Young of Quincy, Alexander Young of Quincy, Donnell Weldon (Jasmine) of Quincy, Lakaya Weldon of Quincy, Jayquan Weldon of Quincy, Bryant Weldon of Quincy, Iesha Buchanan (Malik) of Quincy and Marcellus Weldon of Quincy; paternal grandparents, Creighton and Catherine Weldon II; and several loving great nieces, great nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

   Creighton was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Marcellus and Johnetta Chambers; great grandparents, Creighton and Edith Weldon Sr; and great grandparents Theodore and Christina Robinson.

   Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at 11:00 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home with Rev. James Bailey officiating.  Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery.

   Visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 and Wednesday morning until the time of services at the funeral home.

   Memorials may be made to the Creighton Weldon Memorial Fund.
