Daniel "Dan" Wieprecht, 50, of Aurora, Texas, formerly of Palmyra, Missouri, died Wednesday, April 1, 2015, in Houston, Texas.
Born June 23, 1964, in Quincy, Illinois, Dan was the son of Terry Lee Wieprecht and Diana Lynn Board. He married Karen A. Ratzak on March 16, 1991, in Phoenix, Arizona. She preceded him in death on December 22, 2012.
Dan was a hard working manager and turbine engineer at Dallas Airmotive, after working for Premier Turbines, Garrett Aviation, and Honeywell. He graduated from Marion County R-II High School in 1983 and Linn State Technical College in 1985.
Dan was a devoted father and husband. He was mechanically inclined and enjoyed working on cars and other projects. He enjoyed going to auctions, vintage collecting, and hunting. His many friends knew him as fun-loving, nostalgic, generous, full of life, and always willing to lend a helping hand. Most of all, he loved spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include three children, Heather Parker (Stephen) of Oklahoma City, OK; Chad Wieprecht of Aurora, TX; and Amber Wellman of Tampa, FL; his mother, Diana Kirby (Bud) of Palmyra, MO; his father, Terry Wieprecht of Tombstone, AZ; and siblings Lawrence "Buddy" Kirby of St. Louis, MO; Penny Noble (Roy) of Payson, IL; and Kerri Ahring (Kurt) of Monroe City, MO; along with many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at 10:30 at the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home with Pastor Wayne LaForce officiating. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery.
Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 4:00 to 7:00 and Wednesday until the time of services at the funeral home.
