Delores "Kay" Vahle, 75, of Quincy, died at 12:20 p.m. Saturday (July 15, 2017) in Good Samaritan Home.
Born October 29, 1941 in Quincy, Kay was the daughter of Lloyd and Helen Arnold Straub.
Kay attended Faith Assembly of God Church. She enjoyed listening to music, dancing, crocheting, playing Bingo and loved watching wrestling on TV, but her family came first and she loved every moment she spent with them.
Kay will be remembered as a person who never met a stranger.
Kay was employed for many years at the Elkton Hotel in Quincy.
Survivors include five children, Harold Clinton Hills Jr. (Theresa) of Quincy, Kimberly K. Hills-Cook (Faron) of Plainville, IL, Deanna Jean Vahle of Quincy, Angie Terwelp of Quincy and Eric E. Vahle of Quincy; eighteen grandchildren, Chad Wensing, Amanda Hills, Julie Cheney, Ashley Kirchner (Jared), Kaylyn Sparks, James Hills, Dottie Franklin, Shana Chatman (Damian), Wesley Elam (Carrie), Stephanie Carr, Dillion Vahle, Denver Echternkamp III, Tracy Terwelp, Troy Terwelp, Taylor Terwelp, Samuel Vahle, Nicholas Vahle and Erica Elizabeth Kay Vahle; twelve great grandchildren; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Kay was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Robert Lish; and six sisters, Lois Straub, Carolyn Flowers, Jeanne Mixer, Sue Harbour, Geraldine Clark and Linda Stetson.
Cremation has been accorded to Kay. Memorial services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2:00 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home with Pastor V. Lee Amsler officiating.
Visitation will be Sunday afternoon from 12:00 until the time of services at the funeral home.
