   Dorothy L. Clifford, 90, of Sunset Home, passed away at 3:20 a.m. Sunday (August 26, 2018) at Sunset Home.

   Born October 22, 1927 in Quincy, Dorothy was the daughter of Anne Brocksmith.  She married Roy Clifford on July 25, 1946 in Quincy.  He preceded her in death on October 3, 2000.

   Dorothy was a member of The Crossing.  She loved the outdoors and enjoyed duck hunting and fishing with her husband and grandchildren.  An avid St. Louis Cardinals fan and Bingo player, Dorothy also enjoyed jigsaw puzzles and playing cards with her family and friends.  Dorothy loved listening to country music, especially the Grand Ole Opry.

   Dorothy was devoted to her family and said her greatest accomplishment was being able to take care of them.  She stayed home to raise her family and later worked with her husband in their business, Over the Top, Clifford Roofing.

   Survivors include her daughter, Cindy Hatfield (Boyd) of Quincy; three grandchildren, Walter Houghton (Regina) of Wichita Falls, TX, Royda Houghton of LaBelle, MO and Robin Minor (Derrick) of Lewistown, MO; thirteen great grandchildren, Chad, Neil (Sarah), Kristin (Kevin), Amanda (Curtis), Sam (Zac), Ashley (Joe), Dylan (Kimberly), Wesley, Amber (Anthony), Destiny (Shawn), Jazzlyn (Brent), Dalton and Stevie (Lacie); twenty two great great grandchildren and the many others she took in as her own; and many loving nieces and nephews. 

   Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Roy. 

   Graveside services will be held Wednesday morning at 11:00 in Greenmount Cemetery with Pastor Jim Dennis officiating. 

   Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 4:00 to 7:00 and Wednesday morning from 10:00 until 10:45 at the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home.

   Memorials may be made to Downs Syndrome Association or Autism Awareness Association.
