Dottye Pepper, 77, of Quincy, died at 12:40 p.m. Friday (November 6, 2015) in her home.
Dottye was born October 31, 1938, in Palmyra, Missouri, and was raised in the home of her grandparents, Lloyd James and Jessie Gertrude Schneider. She married Thomas G. Pepper on February 16, 1957 in Palmyra, Missouri. He preceded her in death on October 13, 2009.
Dottye was a 1956 graduate of Palmyra High School. She enjoyed reading, gardening and loved spending time with her family and her two dogs Blossom and Ozzie.
She sold and managed real estate properties in several different states for over 25 years, until her retirement.
Survivors include one son, Thomas G. Pepper (Tracie) of Quincy; three daughters, Diane Kremer (Jeff) of Phoenix, AZ, Martha Pepper and Amy Austin (Dale) both of Quincy; six grandchildren, Joseph Kremer and Margret Kremer both of Phoenix, AZ, Shelby Miller (Eric) of Carbondale, IL, Angie Peters (Andrew), Erica Pepper and Hannah Pepper, all of Quincy; nine great grandchildren, Sabrina Kremer, Brennen Lubker, MaKenna Coram, Kamdyn Peters, Dalton Cox, Avalyn Cox, Aliyah Cox, Thomas Miller and Evelyn Miller; and a special friend Kaden Buchanan of Quincy.
Dottye was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas; and her parents; a great grandson; Lincoln Peters, and a nephew, Michael Pepper.
A Private family graveside service will be held in Greenwood Cemetery in Palmyra, Missouri.
