EDNA M. LOOS
Mrs. Edna M. Loos, 94, of Sunset Home, formerly of rural Liberty, Illinois, died at 10:35 a.m. Thursday (February 23, 2012) in Sunset Home.
Born August 18, 1917 in Adams County, Illinois, Edna was the daughter of Edward H. and Emma Bock Wolf. She married Gerry Loos on November 18, 1939 in Hannibal, Missouri. He preceded her in death on July 3, 2001.
Edna was a member of Burton Presbyterian Church where she taught Sunday School for several years and the Adams County Home Extension. She enjoyed reading and loved to work in her garden.
Edna devoted her life to raising her family.
Survivors include a daughter, Carol Lewis of Plainville, IL; a son, Dennis Loos (Carolyn) of Bethel, MO; seven grandchildren, Jill Neal (Richard), Sara Lewis, Jason Lewis and Daniel Loos (Karessa) all of Quincy, IL, Carrie Wright of Bethel, MO, Denise Wright of Hamburg, IL and Dasha Bogeart (Mark) of Atlanta, MO; eighteen great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Loos was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gerry; a grandson, Dennis Loos Jr.; a granddaughter, Tesa Loos; a grandson in law, John Wright; and two sisters, Grace Brown and Dorothy Schreacke.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning at 10:30 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home in Payson by Pastor Chuck Sackett. Burial will be in Bluff Hall Cemetery.
Visitation will be Monday evening from 4:00 to 7:00 and Tuesday morning until the time of services at the funeral home in Payson.
