ERIC "STEINE" STEINKAMP
Eric M. "Steine" Steinkamp, 49, of Quincy, died at 7:40 p.m. Friday (April 21, 2017) in the emergency room of Blessing Hospital.
Born July 7, 1967 iin Quincy, Eric was the son of Daniel and Beverly Hooper Steinkamp.
Steine was an avid sportsman and Die Hard Cubs Fan. He enjoyed playing, football, basketball, baseball and floor hockey. He coached YMCA football and baseball and Quincy Junior High Football and was the Statistician for Quincy High Football for many years. Steine also loved listening to music and attending concerts, never missing the chance to see his favorite bands play.
Steine worked as a bartender at many local taverns and nightclubs and was a carpet installer for Hooper Floor Covering.
Survivors include his two children he had with Stacey VanCamp, a daughter, Kelsey Steinkamp of Quincy and a son, Alex Steinkamp (fiance', Kelsi Hills) of Quincy; his twin sons he had with Tonya Burrus, Nicholas Steinkamp and Marcus Steinkamp of Quincy; his granddaughter who he loved dearly, Madalynn Ruths; his mother, Beverly Steinkamp of Quincy;his step mother, Trudy Carroll (Tim) of Quincy; his sister, Angie Woosley (Butch) of Quincy; a niece, Alexis Woosley of Quincy; a nephew, Blake Woosley of Quincy; a great niece, Sophia Munson of Quincy; his paternal grandmother, Anita Steinkamp of Quincy; and three uncles, Randy Hooper of Quincy, Wayne Steinkamp of Quincy and Terry "Pete" Steinkamp (Bobbi Porter) of Quincy.
Eric was preceded in death by his father, Daniel; a sister, Krista Steinkamp; paternal grandfather, Lawrence Steinkamp; maternal grandparents; Richard and Francis Hooper; an aunt, Diane Steinkamp; and an uncle, Larry Steinkamp.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday morning at 11:00 in Quincy Memorial Park with Pastor Shane Tomko officiating.
Visitation will be Monday evening from 4:00 to 7:00 at the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home.
