   Mrs. Eva M. Donhardt, 80, of 1317 Gayla Drive, Quincy, died at 9:28 a.m. Tuesday (May 22, 2012) in Blessing Hospital.

   Born November 18, 1931 in Perry, Illinois, Eva was the daughter of Herbert T. and Velma M. Robbins Ballard.  She married Donald A. Donhardt on May 23, 1953 in Quincy. He preceded her in death on April 26, 2001.

   A longtime member of Grace United Methodist Church, Eva attended Union United Methodist Church and was active with a weekly sewing circle.  She loved sewing, quilting and making bears, but her greatest joy came in the time she spent with her family.

   Eva was employed at Motorola in Quincy until their closing and then as a caregiver for Adams County Home Health Care until her retirement.

   Survivors include two daughters, Kathryn Hyer (Gary) and Donna Davis (Jerry) both of Quincy; a son, Jerry Donhardt of Quincy; three grandchildren, Lee Hyer, Jennifer Schurfeld and Chip Schurfeld; four brothers, Floyd Ballard (Michelle), Paul Ballard (Alice), Kenneth Ballard (Lucy) and Robert Ballard (Isabel); four sisters, Georgia Sill (Harold), V. Maxine Schaffer, Martha Jean Browning (Howell) and Marion Barrett; a brother in law, Harry Kingery; three sisters in law, Marge Ballard, Mildred Donhardt and Irene Donhardt; and many loving nieces and nephews.

   Mrs. Donhardt was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Donald; six brothers, Herbert, Harold, Norris, Lawrence, Don and Fred Ballard; and three sisters, Thelma Kingery, Evalyn Schaller and Mary Ballard.

   Funeral services will be held Saturday morning  at 10:30 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home by the Rev. Robert Morwell and Kenneth Ballard.  Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery.

   Visitation will be Friday evening from 4:00 to  7:00 and Saturday morning until the time of services at the funeral home.

   Memorials may be made to Union United Methodist Church, Blessing Cancer Center or the Blessing Foundation for Hospice.
