Mrs. Eva Rudisill, 87, of Clover, South Carolina, formerly of Quincy, died at 5:15 a.m. Friday (February 17, 2012) in her home.
Born September 19, 1924 in Quincy, Eva was the daughter of John and Ethel Orrie Ward Powell. She married Clyde Bunch on June 10, 1942 in LaGrange, Missouri. He preceded her in death in 1946. She married Richard Rudisill in 1947 in LaGrange, Missouri. He preceded her in death on December 16, 1994.
Eva enjoyed dancing, working in her flower garden and will be remembered by her friends and family as an excellent cook.
Eva was employed at Town and Country Cleaners in California and later at Concord Cleaners in Quincy for many years until her retirement.
Survivors include a son, Gary A. Rudisill (Cathy) of Clover, S.C.; five grandchildren, Ian Rudisill of Hacienda Heights, CA, Debra Schlacter (Jack) of Mira Loma, CA, Dawna Sepulveda (Steve) of Whittier, CA, Robert Rudisill of Hemet, CA and Cathy Lynn Easter of Clover, S.C.; two sisters, Ada Bowen (James) of Quincy and Mayme Peter of Quincy. Also surviving are many loving nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Rudicill was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands; two sons, Roger Rudisill and Richard Douglas Rudisill; a sister, Eunice Henning; six brothers, Charles "Dutch" Powell, Alfred Powell, Earl Powell, Melvin Powell, Robert Powell and Edward Powell.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning at 11:00 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home by Pastor Steve Disseler. Burial will be in Quincy Memorial Park.
Visitation will be Tuesday morning from 10:00 until the time of services at the funeral home.
