GEORGE E. REDNER III
George E. Redner III, 68, of Quincy, passed away at 8:10 a.m. Tuesday (April 3, 2018) in Blessing Hospital.
Born October 27, 1949 in Quincy, George was the son of George E. and Matilda K. Smith Redner. He married Pamela Jones on May 3, 1969 in Oxnard, California. She survives.
Mr. Redner served his country with the U. S. Navy Seabees.
George began a 40 year career at Moorman Manufacturing and continued with A.D.M. as an operator in the Mintrate Department. He retired in 2012.
His family was most important to George and he loved the time he shared with them, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He loved cooking and baking, traveling, taking little day trips with Pam and he enjoyed riding his Harley.
Survivors include his wife, Pam; three children, Tanya Redner (fiance', Bill Adrian), George E. Redner IV (Tara) and Nicole Redner (fiance', Robbie Barton) all of Quincy; seven grandchildren, Zach Cook, Jacob Cook, Courtney Griffin (Brock), Kali Redner, Kwinton Redner, Jordan Barton and Cole Barton; two great grandchildren, Brooklyn Griffin and Blake Griffin; a brother, Donald Redner of Quincy; a brother in law, Robert Dailing of Quincy; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2:00 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home with Rev. Donald Blaeser officiating. Burial with Military Honors by Quincy American Legion Post 37 and the U. S. Navy Funeral Honors Detail will be in Greenmount Cemetery.
Visitation will be Friday evening from 4:00 to 7:00 and Saturday afternoon from 1:30 until the time of services at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to Pam Redner to establish a fund for the grandchildren's education.
