JACK D. TEAGUE
Jack D. Teague, 77, of the Illinois Veterans Home in Quincy, formerly of Springfield, Illinois, died at 10:14 a.m. Wednesday (February 3, 2016) at the Illinois Veterans Home.
Born February 2, 1939 in Sandborn, Indiana, Jack was the son of Chester M. and Bonnie M. Bowman Teague. He married Karen Nelson on October 12, 1958 in Edwardsport, Indiana. She survives.
Mr. Teague served his country in the U. S. Navy from 1957 to 1961.
Jack was an avid hunter and fisherman and was a fan of Nascar racing.
In 1970, Jack began his career as a sales representative with Baxter International of St. Louis, Missouri where he worked until his retirement in 2004. During his career, Jack earned numerous honors, awards and recognition for his salesmanship.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Karen of Springfield; three sons, Mark Teague (Margaret), Rodney Teague (Toyua) and William "Scott" Teague (Tracy) all of Springfield, IL; four grandchildren, Caitlin Sporrer (Matt), Sarah Teague, Cohen Teague and Crosby Teague; a brother, Dan Teague (Emily) of Mt. Carmel, IL; a sister, Donna Hart of Wesley Chapel, FL; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Mr. Teague was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Fred Teague.
Arrangements for cremation are with the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home, 1435 State Street, Quincy, IL 62301.
Private services will be held in Camp Butler National Cemetery in Springfield, Illinois.
