JAMES W. LOGSDON
James W. Logsdon, 59, of Quincy died at 12:28 pm Saturday (August 17, 2013) in Blessing Hospital.
Born October 12, 1953 in Beardstown, IL he was the son of John Harvey and Bertha Hill Logsdon.
James enjoyed camping, fishing and hunting mushrooms. He loved spending time and barbecuing with his family and friends.
Mr. Logsdon was employed as a welder for 17 years at Master Tank (Trinity) in Quincy retiring in 1991 due to health issues.
Survivors include his mother Bertha Logsdon of Quincy; three sons Jamie Logsdon and Mathew Logsdon both of Payson and Daniel Logsdon (Jammie) of Lima, IL; ten grandchildren Cody Logsdon, Zackery Logsdon, Payden Logsdon, James Logsdon II, Kaylie Lay, Gabriel Logsdon, Corbin Logsdon, Gavin Logsdon, Carter Logsdon and Parker Logsdon; three brothers Richard Logsdon, William Logsdon (Sharon K.) and Larry Logsdon (Barbara) all of Quincy; one uncle William Robert Logsdon (Mary) of Versailles, IL. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Logsdon was preceded in death by his father John H. Logsdon and one brother Donald G. Logsdon.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon 1:00 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Disseler officiating. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 5:00 until 7:00 and Wednesday morning until the time of services at the funeral home.
