   Mr. James E. Sharpe, 68, of Ewing, Missouri, formerly of Glendora, California, died at 11:10 a.m. Thursday (October 24, 2013) in his home.

   Born September 13, 1945 in Los Angeles, California, James was the son of Willard H. and Dorothy Sharpe. He married Robin Carpenter on August 18, 1963 in Las Vegas, Nevada. She survives.

   James was a member of Emmanuel Nazarene Church in Quincy. He enjoyed driving his dune buggy and movie nights with his family.  James was devoted to his family and loved the time he spent with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

   James and Robin moved to the Quincy area in 1984 and he was employed as a tool and die maker at Titan Wheel in Quincy until his retirement.

   Survivors include his wife, Robin; his mother, Dorothy Sharpe; a son, Gregory J. Sharpe (Lessly) of Quincy; a daughter, Melissa C. Meredith (Michael) of Ewing, MO; seven grandchildren, Leaha K. Jones (Michael), Kayla E. Klauser (Evan), James M. Meredith, Carrie C. Kimbrell, Taylor J. Kimbrell, Kaitlyn M. Kimbrell and Jenna M. Meredith; three great grandchildren, Ella K. Jones, Rylie A. Klauser and Brayden L. Meredith, and was awaiting the arrival of a great granddaughter due in November; two sisters, Carolyn S. Gooder (Dan) and Sherry L. Sharpe (Gregory); three sisters in law, Nancy Golding (Dick), Sharon Pinckney (Kenneth) and Jennifer Kay (Traverse); and many loving nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Cheri L. Miss and special nephews, Jeffery W. Strang (Angela),  Michael "Carolina" Gooder and a special friend Robert Redick.

   Mr. Sharpe was preceded in death by his father, Willard; a brother, Jerry L. Sharpe; and a sister in infancy.

    Graveside services will be held Monday morning at 11:00 in Greenmount Cemetery by Pastor Wayne LaForce.

   There is no visitation, but friends are invited to the graveside services. The Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home in Quincy is in charge of the arrangements.

   Memorials may be made to the Hospice of Northeast Missouri.
