James H. "Jim" Lugering, 67, of Quincy, passed away at 5:30 a.m. Tuesday (February 27, 2018) in his home.
Born October 26, 1950 in Quincy, Jim was the son of Clement and Vernice Bisser Lugering.
Mr. Lugering served his country in the U. S. Army.
Jim was an avid golfer who enjoyed playing with his buddies at Westview Golf Course and bowling with his Monday night league. He was a former member of the Quincy JayCees and enjoyed helping with the Go Cart races and the Hauted House each year.
Jim was employed at Moorman Manufacturing in the stock room for over 20 years.
Survivors include his sister, Susan Sprague (Melvin) of Plainville, IL; his brother, Gene Lugering of Quincy; his niece, Sarah Uptegrove (Tyler) of St. Louis, MO; and his nephew, Michael Sprague of Riverside, CA.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held Monday morning at 10:00 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home with Pastor Mike McKenzie officiating. Burial with Military Honors by the Illinois National Guard Funeral Honors Detail will be in Greenmount Cemetery.
Visitation will be Sunday afternoon from 3:00 to 6:00 and Monday morning from 9:30 until the time of services at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Plainville.
