Janice Faye (Howard) Wurth

March 29, 1949 ~ April 4, 2017 (age 68)

   Janice Faye Wurth , 68, of Florissant, Missouri, formerly of Quincy, died at 5:00 a.m. Tuesday (April 4, 2017) in Christian Hospital Northwest Healthcare in Florissant, Missouri.

   Born March 29, 1949 in Keokuk, IA, Janice was the daughter of Ira Thomas and Glenlyn "Alene" Banks Howard.  She married Robert A. Wurth on November 16, 1996 in Mendon, IL.  He survives.

   Jan grew up on a farm near West Point, IL and attended West Point and Bowen grade schools and graduated from Bowen High School in 1967.  After moving to Quincy she attended Gem City Business College and obtained her secretarial degree and began her employment career in the offices at Midwest Premier and then at Motorola for 8 years.  When Motorola closed she worked for Lalande and Gallaher Insurance for 12 years and for Bybee Insurance for 6 years.  After her retirement and marriage to Bob she moved to St. Louis.

   Jan  enjoyed listening to country music, traveling and going to the casinos.  Most of all she loved talking and joking with her family and friends.

   Survivors include her husband, Robert; three step-sons, Robert Wurth Jr. of Florissant, James Wurth (Sarah) of Kirkwood, MO and Michael Wurth (Jill) of Defiance, MO; two step-daughters, Susan Yeomans (Ward) of Florissant, MO, Michele Eilermann (Kenny) of Florissant, MO; thirteen step-grandchildren, three great grandchildren; one brother Gary Howard (Linda) of Liberty, IL and  many loving nieces and nephews; Jon, Julie, Carol, Kathie, Tom, Cindy, Angie, April, Gariann, Stacie and numerous great nieces, nephews and cousins.

   Mrs. Wurth was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers Larry Howard, Danny Howard; two sisters Sherry Vrandenburg and Carol Jean Howard; a sister-in-law Karen Howard and a brother-in-law Dwight Andrew Vrandenburg.

   Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon 2:00 p.m. in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Hayden officiating.  Burial will be in West Point Cemetery in West Point, IL.

   Visitation will be held Sunday from 12:00 until the time of services at the funeral home.

   Memorials may be made to the St. Louis University Kidney Program.
