JERRY P. BRYANT
  
   Mr. Jerry P. Bryant, 72, of Quincy, died at 9:00 p.m. Wednesday (December 21, 2011) in his home.

   Born September 8, 1939 in Leavenworth, Kansas, Jerry was the son of Ralph  and Alta Jane Smith Bryant Kendall.  He married Janice L. Peters on December 31, 1960 in Pittsfield, Illinois.  She survives.

   Mr. Bryant served his country in the United States Air Force.  He and his wife traveled extensively throughout the United States and various foreign countries including their recent early celebration of their 50th wedding anniversary on a cruise to the Mediterranean.  Jerry was a history buff who loved to read and study different aspects of history and traded military items at various gun shows.  He enjoyed going to casino's and loved to spend time with his family, especially with his grandchildren.    
  
   Jerry was employed for many years as a sales representive for Quincy Midwest Leasing Company.  After his retirement, he drove for the Bee Line Express, making over 700 round trips to the airport.

   Survivors include his wife Janice; a son, Jerry P. Bryant Jr. of Quincy; two daughters, Jolene Bryant Allen of Quincy and Jill Mettemeyer and her husband Eric of Leawood, KS;  five grandchildren, Thera Green and her husband Eric of Quincy, Alyssa Emrick of Mendon, Daxton Allen of Quincy, Max Mettemeyer and Yale Mettemeyer both of Leawood, KS; two great grandchildren, Jadyn Green and Denver Green; a brother, Robert "Bob" Bryant and his wife Mary Ann of Seattle, WA; and many loving nieces and nephews.

   Mr. Bryant was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Dick Bryant.

   Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at 10:00 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home with Rev. Chris Lafever officiating.  Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.

   Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 4:00 to 7:00 and Wednesday morning until the time of services at the funeral home.

   Memorials may be made to Blessing Hospice.
