JOHN E. RENIER
John Edward Renier, 54, of Hull, Illinois, died at 8:05 p.m. Thursday (November 9, 2017) in his home.
Born December 5, 1962 in Quincy, John was the son of Larry D. and Delores Anders Mayfield. After being together for 20 years, he married Melissa Robinson on November 6, 2016 in Hannibal, Missouri. She survives.
John served his country in the Army National Guard for 4 years.
John enjoyed working in his yard, riding his motocycle and dirt track racing. He had a great passion for music and loved playing drums. John played for many local bands, most recently with the band "Hearsay". John was devoted to his family and loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.
John was employed as a Truck Driver for many years. He was employed by Consolodated Machine and Welding until his retirement because of his health.
Survivors include his wife, Melissa; two sons, John Michael Renier (Emily Klitz) of Ursa, IL and Bubby Gauch (Tiffany Ledbetter) of Hannibal, MO; four daughters, Hayleigh Renier (Teddy Beer) of Loraine, IL, Bethany Robinson of Hannibal, MO, Candy Johnson of Hannibal, MO and Tamara Winningham (Scotty Emery) of Hannibal, MO; a son in law, Dexter Winningham of Hannibal, MO; fourteen grandchildren, Jocelin Robinson, Jayleigh Robinson, Jacan Robinson, Kolton Renier, Kason Renier, Peytan Johnson, Calley Johnson, Jaxstyn Johnson, Tay'Lyn Winningham, Buddy Winningham, Liaha Abbey, Marissa Abbey, McKenzie Gauch and Lay'La Gauch; a sister, Novilee "Dion" Hilgenbrinck (Brian Davis) of Camp Point, IL; three brothers, Brad Renier (Donna) of Quincy, Patrick Roy Mayfield (Misty) of Chandler, OK and Wesley Dean Mayfield (Brandy) of Hull, IL; and many loving nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
John was preceded in death by his Mom, Delores Mayfield on October 26, 2017 and his Dad, Larry D. Mayfield; and his father, John Edward Renier Sr.
Cremation arrangements are in the care of Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home.
The Renier family will host a gathering to celebrate John's life will be on Sunday (December 3, 2017) from 2:00 to 8:00 pm at the Hannibal American Legion Post, 3819 Highway MM, Hannibal, Missouri.
