JOHN W. CLARK
John W. Clark, 72, of Maywood, Missouri died at 4:00 a.m. Saturday (February 24, 2018) in Blessing Hospital.
Born July 21, 1945 in Quincy, John was the son of Warren and Alvena Hardy Clark. He married Janet K. Clapp on June 19, 1965 in Quincy. She survives.
John was a 1963 graduate of Quincy High School. He enjoyed fishing, archery , hunting deer and turkey. John was a member of the Early Tin Dusters Club and loved to work on and restore antique cars and trucks. Most of all he loved spending time with his family, especially with his grandchildren.
John was first employed at Harris Corporation for over 20 years. He later went to work for Quincy Metal Fabricators where he retired as a foreman in 2011 after 17 years with the company.
Survivors include his wife Janet; a daughter, Victoria "Vicki" Cross (Rob) of Durham, MO; two grandchildren, Dakota Cross and John Cross both of Durham, MO; two sisters, Judy Garthaus (Frank) of Decatur, IL and Jo Ann Seybold of Quincy; and several loving nieces and nephews.
Mr. Clark was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Christina; and a sister, Joyce Donley.
Graveside services will be held Thursday morning at 10:30 in Greenmount Cemetery with Pastor Steve Disseler officiating.
Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 4:00 to 7:00 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home.
